Another August Update

It has been a quick couple of weeks around here.  A week ago the girls and I spent a nice weekend in Duluth with my mom while the guys worked really hard at building us a new deck.  Lance still has to finish a few small things before staining it, but it is looking really nice.  During this time, I managed to lose my cell phone and the boys managed to accidentally cut our cable.  We went a couple days without internet, cable, and my phone.  I can jokingly say that we make a quick visit to the dark ages.  But, honestly, it felt a bit isolating.  Thankfully, we are back online and once again appreciating technology.  This past weekend was nice and quiet for us.  We went to the car show Friday night, took the girls swimming at the community center Saturday night, and spent some time at the park Sunday morning.  Lance and I even went on a little date Saturday afternoon.  Our neighbor Karah is 13, recently took babysitting classes, and enjoys spending time with our girls.  So, we decided to have her be in charge of the girls during their nap time so we could walk down to Neumann's Bar for a sandwich and beer to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary.  The girls did well, and Lance and I enjoyed spending some time together without the girls.  We don't have much else planned for August.  Lance may have to go to Wyoming for a few days for work, and we are planning to drive to Devils Lake, ND for Labor Day Weekend.  Baby Developments:  Breanne and Claire have recently decided that their favorite word to say is "no." However, they go about it quite differently.  Claire says it with attitude in her voice and a shake of the head.  Breanne likes to say "no" about 4 or 5 times in a row with each "no" sounding stronger than the last.  They have also been honing their skills of eating with a fork.
