We had the girls' six-month doctor appointment today. We have once again confirmed that we have healthy girls that are growing like crazy. Claire is now 18 lbs in weight (79th percentile) and 27.5 inches in length (93rd percentile). Breanne is 19.5 lbs in weight (93rd percentile) and 27 inches long (83rd percentile). The doctor felt some bumps in Breanne's mouth indicating that teeth are on their way. Claire has been referred to an eye specialist to have her eyes looked at. We have been noticing that she may have a slight lazy eye, and the doctor would like us to get it checked out sooner than later. Hopefully this won't become a major issue in her life, but the doctor isn't very concerned about it at this point. Otherwise, the girls are doing great and are just so much fun. Breanne recently learned how to strategically barrel roll to get to where she wants to go (usually wherever Reggie is). Claire hasn't quite figured that out yet. They both have a blast in the Jenny Jump Up and enjoy their excersaucer. They get to spend next weekend with their nana and papa in Duluth so Mommy and Daddy can enjoy a baby-free weekend for their anniversary before a very busy month to come. We will be going to Duluth in two weeks to see my grandparents and introduce them to Claire and Breanne. Then, we are making our first big road trip with the girls at the end of September to attend cousin Shawn's wedding in North Dakota. Shortly after that we are expecting a special visit from Lance's parents. So many things to look forward to! Baby experiences: the girls have gone to their first farmer's market, have gone to a local car show numerous times (this is a free classic car show that goes on every Friday during the summer and is walking distance from our house), and are expanding their horizons with food since they have graduated to level two babyfood and can have other baby snacks and even some "big people" foods. Exciting stuff!
