Quick Hello and Update

Well, not a whole lot has been going on around here besides our everyday chaos of having two 3-month old babies in the house. We spent Easter with the Brannan family in St. Cloud (about 90 minutes away). It was fun to watch Maddie, Mason, and Tyler interact with their little cousins. As you can see by the pictures they have all been growing like weeds. I had my first night alone with the girls a few weeks ago when Lance had to be on the road for work. It went pretty well, but they didn't sleep as well as they usually do. I was definitely tired and ready for a break when Daddy got home. Reggie has been adjusting to the girls even more and has actually started to scratch at the door to come back inside if he hears them crying. He is very persistent until we let him in to make sure that they are ok. The girls are starting to sleep even better at night. They often sleep from about 10:00 at night until about 4:00 in the morning. Of course, they usually think it is time to play once they are finished eating. They don't seem to care how disgustingly early the time is for Mom and Dad. They have also been taking a nice 3-4 hour nap in the middle of the day. That gives everyone else in the house a nice break. Lance and I are constantly surprised with how quickly they seem to be growing and developing. It is fun to see them getting bigger and changing, but it is also a little sad. I am heading to Duluth with Reggie and the girls on Thursday. We will be staying up there unil the next Wednesday. Lance will be on the road most of that time. He will be in Duluth for the weekend though. On Saturday, Lance and I are going to leave the girls for one night and head up the North Shore as a gift from my parents. We are both really looking forward to it. We hope to do a little hiking, have a nice dinner, and spend some time relaxing at a resort. What a treat! This will be the first time that I have been away from the girls for more than a few hours since they came home from the hospital, so it may be a bittersweet moment. Besides that, we are just waiting for the weather to warm up. We were teased with a few beautiful days, but it has been very cold and wet lately. The average temp has been 10 degrees colder than this time last year. Anyway, I think the tranquility of naptime is coming to an end. Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms out there!
