It's Fun To Be One!

Our girls had their 12-month appointment with the doctor a week ago. I fully intended to post stats sooner, but a nasty cold pretty much put me out of commission for the week. Thankfully, everyone else in the house has remained healthy so far. Let's hope it stays that way! At any rate, the girls' appointment went great (well, all except for the torture of three shots). Breanne weighed in at 24 lbs and 1 oz (88th percentile) and measured 30.25 inches (83rd percentile). Claire weighed in at 22lbs and 6 oz (70th percentile) and measured 30.5 inches (88th percentile). That's right, Claire has officially exceeded her sister in height. The doctor gave us the okay to introduce eggs and peanut butter, and the girls have been enjoying both. We have also been given the okay to only use sippie cups and stop using bottles as well as start replacing their formula with whole milk. Lastly, we have been encouraged to get larger car seats, which we had been meaning to do anyway. So many changes for our growing girls! Here are the latest baby developments: Claire and Breanne can both crawl onto the couches; they absolutely love "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and attempt to do the hand motions that accompany the song; Claire finally got her first top tooth (which puts her count to four teeth now); both girls also enjoy a good game of Peek-a-Boo. Lastly, we are happy to announce that Claire has been discharged from physical therapy. She only needs to attend two more appointments for cap fittings.
