Memorial Weekend

I know that this post is late in coming, but we hope that you all had a safe and enjoyable weekend. We certainly kept ourselves busy. We sealed the basement in an attempt to solve our water problems. We have had a lot of rain since then, and so far our basement has been staying dry. Let's hope that our wet basement days are over. We decided to go to a state park for a picnic on Memorial Day. I think that we both regret it. First of all, it became quite an ordeal to find the park and a place to have our picnic. After we ate, we decided to walk some trails. What a mistake that was! The trails were extremely muddy, and the flies were being pests. The worst part of the trip though, was that we had to continuously remove woodticks. Between Lance, me , and Reggie, we saw at least 50 woodticks that day (seriously, we counted them). EEEEWWWWWW! I have never seen anything like it. I think that we both had more nature than we could handle that day. Other than this recent experience, we have been keeping busy making improvents to our house and making trips to Duluth. The other weekend we were able to watch Angela perform and look forward to her big "CD release/ Birthday party" in July. The weather here has been pretty comfortable so far which has allowed us to do yard work as well. The last two months have been quite a roller coaster. We saw temps go from 50s to 90s back down to 70s. Apparently, the hot and humid weather is on the way though.
