April is Almost Over Already?

Well, as my dad recently informed me, it has been a while since I have updated the blog. All I can say is that Lance and I have been extremely busy moving and working on the new house. There was a minor speed bump that forced us to move the closing date out 10 days. Other than that, the closing went smoothly and we started the fun work of cleaning and packing. We were lucky to have a couple of weeks between the house closing and the check out of the apartment. We are officially moved in now and have slowly started making improvements on the house. We had an unpleasant surprise of water in the basement, so we have to put everything else on hold until we can get that taken care of. The joys of being a homeowner! After a weekend of hard work, Lance and my dad got the basement pretty much gutted out (the basement was only in the beginning stages of being finished). We are renting a dumpster later this week to get rid of everything. What a mess! Other than that, we have enjoyed having the extra room and having a yard. Reggie is definitely enjoying it as well. Several of the neighbors have stopped by to introduce themselves, and we have enjoyed how quiet and comfortable the area is. It will be so nice when we are done with all of the projects and can sit back and really enjoy it. We will have pictures soon.
