Reggie is becoming quite the big boy. He has gained about 20 pounds since we got him 3 months ago (he now weights about 50 pounds). He actually gained 15 of those pounds within the last month. He has completed obedience class and can now sit, lie down, watch, wait, leave it, and come. We just managed to teach him how to shake as well. He knows all of these commands, but whether or not he will actually obey them is another story. He is extremely food motivated, so if he knows you have a treat he will more than likely follow any command. He loves playing fetch, going on his daily walks, chasing the soccer ball, and wrestling around with Lance. He does not, however, enjoy being stuck in his kennel all day while we are at work. Sometimes he is in there for about 11 hours. Poor guy! Thankfully he is not overly energetic and is usually okay with just chilling around the house. He will not miss any opportunity to chew up anything lying around. He especially likes shoes. He has managed to destroy two shoelaces and two cell phones. There is really never a dull moment with him. Yesterday we were walking by a house that was already decorated for Halloween and had a huge Frankenstein blow up doll in the front yard. Reggie must not have liked it, because he stopped and barked profusely at it until I dragged him away. He may end up being a decent guard dog after all! Reggie gets to spend the weekend at the boarding kennel again because Lance and I will be in Wisconsin Dells. I have to be in seminars all weekend to get certified to do therapies for work. Lance just gets to enjoy the water park all day.
