Fall Fun

Well, I have to say that our fall seems to be as busy as the summer was.  The girls are in preschool Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Claire and Breanne both seem to like their teachers and both talk about their new friends. The girls also have dance on Monday evenings.  When we have the time, we still try to get out and explore new things in the area or go back to some of our favorite places like the Children's Museum in Salem and the Salem Library or go swimming at the YMCA. We just had the pleasure of having a visit from Angela and Reed. They stayed with us for about four days and I think it is safe to say that they experienced a lot of the area.  We really enjoyed having them here and, as always, it was sad to see them leave. The girls had their first slumber party experience last weekend. Lance's parents were taking care of two little girls (Macey and Piper), so they wanted to include our girls. Four girls under the age of six......better Nana and Papa than us!   I guess everyone got along well and had a lot of fun, but EVERYONE was tired out when it was time to go home. We just went to the zoo in Portland yesterday with Nana Valiquette and saw lots of neat animals.  The girls enjoyed it but did get tired of all the walking towards the end.  It took us three hours to get through the whole facility, and we didn't even spend much time at any particular spots.  It was definitely a nice zoo, but maybe a bit too big for the little kids.  We will have to go back again soon as a new elephant exhibit is being completed, and we somehow missed the penguins.  The girls are now getting very excited for Halloween.  We have pumpkins to carve and some fun costumes to wear trick-or-treating.  Breanne is going to be a dalmation and Claire is going to be a black cat. Check back for pictures soon!
