No turning back now

Well, we successfully closed on the house this past Friday. We wasted no time rolling up our sleeves and getting to work. Unfortunately we hit a major plumbing setback on Saturday afternoon, and that ended up taking the rest of the weekend to get under control. We had to leave the house Sunday night with the cabinets taken apart, a bedroom primed, the bathroom floor ripped out, the toilet taken out, a hole in the bathroom wall, and the bathroom painted in a color that I now decided I don't like. What a mess! We hope to get down to Janesville this upcoming weekend so we can catch up on some of our projects. We need to put in a new toilet, which we can't do until we lay down the new flooring, and we don't want to put down the new flooring until we paint the walls. Then we need to put in the new bathtub wall and vanity. And that is just one of the rooms that we want to make improvements in. AAAAGGGGHHHHHH! The joys of being a homeowner! On the bright side we were able to meet some of our neighbors, and they all seem very friendly. One of them actually brought us dinner and girl scout cookies. (It is great to know that we have a girl scout in the neighborhood. Lance won't know what hit him the next time cookies are being sold.) Everyone in the neighborhood seems to own atleast one dog, so we should fit right in once we get ours. We plan to post some pictures of the house as the projects get completed, so keep checking our site.
